NEW YORK – OurBus, a tech startup
offering intercity bus routes, is thrilled to expand its bus service to the
northern and western suburbs of Philadelphia - Fort Washington, King of
Prussia, Malvern and West Chester, Pennsylvania - with daily, express trips
to New York City, starting on Thursday, December 21st.
OurBus is the first regional bus
service to launch a route along the Main Line, catering to the needs of
students, business and leisure travelers who are looking for a reliable,
tech-friendly and cost-effective way to travel to New York City.
“We’re filling a much needed gap
in the Philadelphia suburbs, targeting travelers in Montgomery and
Chester Counties, who often have limited transportation options to New York
City and surrounding areas,” said Narinder Singh, founder of OurBus. “With
OurBus’s Main Line route, we’re offering our customers all of the
comforts they need to relax during their trip or to be more productive.”
OurBus will pick up and drop off
passengers at the following locations:
West Chester, PA- Chestnut Street and High Street
- Malvern, PA - Matthews Road Park & Ride lot
- King of Prussia, PA - King of Prussia, PA Park & Ride lot
- Fort Washington, PA - Summit Avenue Cul-de-sac, next to SEPTA Station
Fares will begin at a promotional
rate of $10 each way.
Launched in 2016, OurBus is
a tech company specializing in intercity travel and crowd sourced commuter bus
routes, with a unique business model. OurBus does not own buses, instead,
partners with existing charter bus companies, which allows the company to offer
lower fares to passengers.
Each bus is equipped to serve the
needs of busy travelers and features charging stations at every seat, free
WiFi, free bottled water, clean bathrooms and plush, reclining seats.
By downloading the free OurBus
app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, customers can create a
profile, purchase tickets and track their buses in real-time. Customers
can also share their ETA with others.
Expansion to the Western
Philadelphia suburbs comes on the heels of OurBus expanding to upstate
New York; Ithaca and Binghamton, this fall. Additionally, OurBus offers
intercity routes between New York City, New Jersey, Maryland and Washington,
DC.
